Printing on acrylic
Screen printing on acrylic is widely used and relatively unproblematic. Thinner and
other solvents may cause problems. Acrylic without tensions normally survive a
single wiping with thinner, but acrylic with many tensions and printing may cause problems.
Printing on acrylic with hardcoating is much harder, but feasible. Either by using Corona treatment of the plates or with a precise control of the ink hardening. An example is the display for Bang and Olufsen BeoCom 5. It is made of double-sided hardcoated acrylic with printing on one side.
